5th edition: public discussions, lectures, courses and workshops in the field of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences
The University of Pristina was founded in 1970. Today the University comprises 15 faculties and 7 external Higher Schools. The latter are in a process of upgrading in order to be integrated into a unified academic system with internal differentiation. The UP is a member of the European University Association (EUA). During the past academic year, the University of Pristina has implemented a lot of changes in accordance with the Bologna Declaration, among which UP applies the European Credit transfer System (ECTS).
The Academic Training Association is a not-for-profit academic foundation based at the University of Amsterdam with field offices in Pristina, Skopje, and Belgrade. The organisation was established in 1994, under the name YSY. In 2000, the name was changed to ATA. ATA is an independent organisation that maintains neutrality on questions of international borders. The use of the place
names Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo/a, Serbia, and Yugoslavia does not reflect any position on the question of maintaining or changing current internationally recognised borders.
The programme will bring together regional & international professors and lecturers for a period of three weeks and will provide approximately 15 courses and workshops in the field of humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
In addition, public discussions, lectures, etc., will be organised on prominent issues in Kosovar and (South) East European society. Recreational events and excursions will also be organised for students and staff.
